No. Library staff are expected to direct all interested parties to the electronic online application. Librarians can only engage presenters who have submitted their online application and have been added to our database of approved program presenters.
Your application will be carefully reviewed and scored by a panel. Priority is given to programs that complement the library’s collections, services, goals, and strategic directives. We consider the local community’s interests, the suitability of the library’s physical space, a program’s contribution to the library’s overall schedule of events, and our budgetary constraints. QPL does not guarantee that accepted program proposals will be invited to present their program at a library location. Applicants will be notified via email with either a preliminary acceptance or decline notification.

The library does not allow commercial advertising and direct solicitation, but you may provide business cards or contact information at the request of the audience. Library staff should receive copies of your handouts before the program so they can be reviewed and approved.
